As Lissa ran the cold river water over the wound, a searing pain soared through me. I let out a shriek of pain and I was sure Rose and the others had heard it.
"Its okay, the stuff is almost all out, then I'll just heal it and we'll all be okay then!" Lissa said through clenched teeth. I could tell that I was stressing her out, and the last thing I wanted to do was to drain her energy because she had to fix me up.
"NO!" I stammered "You-you can't. It'll drain your energy!" Another wave of pain roared through my body and another shriek escaped my lips. I could see Lissa cringe and I truly felt bad.
"Its okay, I want to. It will make you all better and you can confront the people. Besides, if I don't heal you, who's gonna fire the second bow? I sure as heck can't." Lissa tried to chuckle but I could tell she was having trouble.
Just then Rose ran up with a worried look on her face. "Is everything okay? I heard your screams and assumed the worst."
"Yeah.... Lissa's almost-done"

"Sorry," he said, holding out a hand. I gladly took it, and he hoisted me up with his firm grip. Jason handed me an Athena helmet and my dagger. I muttered a thanks as one of the Hephaestus kids said we were getting close. Running up the ladder, I rushed to the bow of the ship, clutching the golden figurehead of Festus, squinting my eyes for land.
